Strapless Wedding Dresses - Are They For You?

For those of you who are really self-confident above your body you may be thinking about have a wedding dress that is strapless. This will show off your skin color and tone much more than other styles.  You need to ensure you arms, especially your triceps, are looking good because a straples dress will not cover anything up in this area.

Strapless wedding dresses are cruel in the sense that they will make skinny arms appear frail and heavy arms will appear bulky. The same can be said about arm length - if you arms are short they will appear to be even shorter.

Is A Strapless Dress Too Informal?

A strapless wedding dress can look amazing especially if you spend some time in the gymnasium working on developing your arms and shoulders. However some future brides may shy away from them simply because they can be too revealing.

You might want to confirm that your chosen venue for the wedding ceremony actually allows you to wear a strapless dress this is because some places will not allow them.

One thing that you need to think about is that wearing a strapless dress can increase the chance of the dress wrinkling at the waist. You need to stand fairly still to avoid this happening.

Think forward and plan - this means taking a strapless bra and some shoes to the shop when you are trying a gown on. This will allow you to guage how you dress will look on the actual wedding day.

Additional boning in your dress may be required, this will avoid you having to spend time moving your dress back into place.

The dresss needs to be fitted so that it is not too tight to reveal fat bulges at the back of the dress or that it is too loose that it does not hug the chest enough.

I definately think that a mistake can be made with this dress style by making it appear too ostentatious. Keep it simple and add a choker, jewellery or gloves. A hairstyle that is tucked up can also look very nice.

The strapless style wedding dress may not be your favourite but it can look very simple and stunning at the same time.
