Is A Silver Wedding Dress A Viable Option?

Silver is not an obvious choice as the color to pick for your wedding dress and it is still not a common choice amongst future brides, however it depends how you define a silver wedding dress. A very light grey might be thought of by some to be silver. Nevertheless it is still worth thinking about if you want a less traditional color but do not want to opt for a bright color.

A silver wedding dress can be considered an avant garde choice for first time brides since the usual choices go from white to very light cream and ecru.

Other colors may be utilized to accent white gowns to complement the floral colors and the bridesmaid outfits.

So Why Would You Want To Choose A Silver Wedding Dress.

The choice of a silver wedding dress could be because the bride prefers the color silver and wants to get married in one. Other reasons could be that the wedding’s motif is silver and the bride wants her dress to complement the motif or the silver wedding dress could be a family heirloom that she wishes to wear on the wedding.

It is becoming quite common these days for couples to renew their wedding vows after reaching a specific amount of years as a married couple. Silver denotes the 25th wedding anniversary and therefore seems a logical color to use for the dress to renew ones vows in.

We are seeing a tendancy these days for brides to look for a level of uniqueness for there special day. Picking a silver dress, or any color for that matter, can add to the level of uniqueness. One thing to consider is that silver can cause some reflection from camera flashes which could result in poor photographic qualities.

Another thing to think about is that silver is a color that can make you look heavier, just as black makes you look lighter.

Although grooms may disagree the bride is the center of attention and wearing a silver dress as they walk down the aisle will certainly bring this.
